Keep in mind that each patient is unique and your results may vary.

How Is a Brazilian Butt Lift Done?

The Brazilian butt lift procedure begins with Dr. Weinberg harvesting fat from another area of your body (typically the abdomen or thighs) using liposuction. Dr. Weinberg removes the fatty tissue via a liposuction cannula and places the tissue in a centrifuge to separate the fat cells from other impurities.

Once the fat is processed, Dr. Weinberg again uses the cannula to re-inject it into the buttocks. Each cheek of the buttocks may receive as much as a liter of fat, which will initially appear like too much. This is intentional: not all of the fat will assimilate to its new area, survive the fat grafting process, and enhance the buttocks. The body will absorb and filter out the rest naturally.

As with all surgical procedures, there is a small risk of possible complications with a Brazilian butt lift. Dr. Weinberg discusses potential complications specific to your surgery at your consultation. For a discussion of general risks of surgery, review Dr. Weinberg’s Your First Visit page.

Brazilian Butt Lift Cost in Mississauga & Toronto

As with most cosmetic plastic surgery procedures, the cost of a Brazilian butt lift at our Toronto and Mississauga clinics depends on several factors, including the extent of augmentation desired. This makes it difficult to offer a price quote without meeting you first. Accordingly, the cost of your surgery will be explained in detail, along with other information about your procedure including any potential complications, during your in-depth consultation with Dr. Weinberg.

For patients who want to have multiple concerns addressed, we recommend combining procedures to save on the overall cost. A Brazilian butt lift could be combined with facial rejuvenation procedures, for example.

What to Expect After Your Brazilian Butt Lift Procedure

Bruising and swelling are typical following the procedure. Avoid any prolonged sitting for about 2 weeks after the surgery. Sitting for too long can damage the fat. We also recommend sleeping on your side. We ask you to wear a support garment, such as Spanx®, following your surgery to help apply even compression to the areas where Dr. Weinberg performed liposuction.

Brazilian Butt Lift Results

While you can expect to see results immediately following the procedure, it may take several months before you see the final results. Buttock augmentation using fat grafting can create the idealized hourglass shape of the lower back and enhance the gluteal region. A Brazilian butt lift doesn’t technically lift the tissue of the buttocks; rather, its name derives from the lifting effect the procedure creates.
