Dr. Michael J. Weinberg, a Royal College-certified plastic surgeon in Toronto and Mississauga, discusses the cost of breast augmentation.

We tell the women who visit us for breast augmentation in Toronto and Mississauga that breast surgery requires a healthy amount of planning. They need to search for a qualified and trusted Royal College-certified plastic surgeon, create a strategy for transportation and aftercare, and manage valuable time set aside for recovery. But for most people, one of the most important conversations related to surgery is on the topic of how much breast augmentation costs. In this post, I review 3 important considerations regarding the cost of breast augmentation in Toronto and Mississauga.

1. Your breast implant type will affect your total price.

At my clinic, silicone gel implants cost about $1,000 more than saline implants cost . The increase is set by the manufacturers and is due, among other factors, to the fact that silicone is simply more expensive to make. I advise my patients to decide on a breast implant based upon their desired outcome and not this price difference. For more on the difference between silicone and saline breast implants, read this post.

2. You can save money by combining procedures.

Many of my patients maximize their results by combining multiple procedures. The savings are achieved through less overall OR and post-op clinic time and by avoiding multiple fees for anesthesia. For example, by combining a tummy tuck and breast augmentation surgeries at our Toronto plastic surgery clinic, considered a Mommy Makeover, a typical patient will save about $1,000 over having the procedures performed separately.

3. Financing help is available.

We take extra care to make our services as affordable and attainable as possible. A significant portion of our patients finance their breast augmentation surgery cost using Medicard and Credit Medical. The approval steps are simple, and my staff is more than happy to lend a hand throughout the entire process.

The best way to find out how much your desired plastic surgery procedure will cost is to come in for a consultation. Contact us using our online form or call our Toronto clinic at (416) 207-9090 or our Mississauga clinic at (905) 273-3045 and we’ll reach out to schedule your appointment! Hi There,

I am interested in getting breast augmentation and I would like to get some info on the costs for the surgery.

Can you please provide me with the prices for Breast Augmentation? I would like to do a saline or silicone implant, aprox 450cc and I am interested in having the incision done in my armpit. I would prefer the implant over the muscle as I have kids and breastfed, so I believe going over the muscle would eliminate the need for a breast lift. I am about 5.5 feet, slim build 120ibs, my size before my children was a 34B but I never filled out the bra… I didn’t breast feed very long so the breast don’t sag that much but the tissue is basically gone..you can just feel the muscle. I am looking to be a full C cup. Of course with consultation we would determine what would work best for me but I would like a price based on the info I have provided.

Also for post op, what are the antibiotics are prescribed to avoid infection if any?

    Thanks,

    Stacy

My 78 year old mother’s right breast has deflated. I believe they are saline. This was done over 40yrs ago when we first came to canada from england. The hospital said the removal of both (because if one reptured the other most likely would too) is covered under OHIP. But new implants if cosmetic we would have to pay. What is the risks factors involved for a 78year old lady to have breasts put in. She is currently on blood pressure pills also.

Hello and thank you for contacting our office. We will need a referral from your mothers Family MD since the removal is covered under OHIP. This can be sent to 905-273-3699. Once received we will call with an appointment. As per surgery for your mom we will have to go over all her medical history and she will have to see Dr. Weinberg and he will determine whether she is healthy enough to have surgery he will determine this after discussing medical history and some Blood work and ECG is done.
