Woman admiring her eyes after eyelid surgery and dermal fillers

When it comes to cosmetic treatments, many people overlook how powerful a transformation around the eyes can be. Lash enhancements can make the eyes appear more defined and alluring, while smoothing wrinkles or solving droopiness in the area can bring a rested, awake look to the face. Women interested in eyelid surgery or crow’s feet treatments in Mississauga or Toronto may be surprised how many methods actually exist for creating youthful, expressive eyes.

From the topical to the surgical, these treatments may help you enhance your eyes and take your look to the next level.

Cosmetic Lash Enhancements

Treatments such as lash lifts are becoming more popular as women discover the power and convenience of products that can create long, strong, beautiful lashes.

  • Topical products such as LATISSE® prolong the natural eyelash growth phase to promote lengthening, thickening, and darkening. This may be a helpful solution for anyone with thinning or missing lashes.
  • Eyelash extensions involve gluing lashes made of synthetic or animal hair material to create attractive lashes without the need for daily application. A surgical alternative to this is an eyelash transplant, which may be the best option for people with damaged or inactive hair follicles.

Injectable Treatments

If age-related concerns around your eyes are keeping you from looking your best, injectable treatments may help you look younger and more rested.

  • BOTOX Cosmetic® smooths wrinkles caused by repeated contractions, which commonly occur around the eyes. Crow’s feet and vertical lines between the eyebrows are 2 widespread examples. BOTOX relaxes the muscles causing these contractions, erasing the lines for about 3 months.
  • Dermal fillers can be used to fill in wrinkles caused by lost skin elasticity. They’re also helpful in filling hollow tear troughs that may cause a tired, worn-out appearance.

As an experienced injector endorsed by BOTOX maker Allergan and early Restylane® maker Q-Med, I’ve developed a strong reputation for providing excellent injectable treatments. I use an artistic eye to determine whether BOTOX, fillers, or a combination will be most effective for each individual’s needs.

Eyelid Surgery

Depending on your goals for enhancing your eyes, you may be a good fit for a blepharoplasty. This involves reshaping the eyelids to create a more awake and aware look. It can solve droopiness in the upper eyelids or puffiness and bags in the lower eyelids. People typically return to work after 7 to 10 days and are able to fully return to vigorous activities after 3 weeks. The results are long-lasting. • Opal McKenzie says:

I have had derma fillers and Botox. My problem area is my tear trough. At age 63 I strive for a more relaxed youthful appearance. I also have two dark lines on top of my cheeks that hat seems to get darker. I would welcome a consultation
