Mississauga Cosmetic Surgery & Laser Clinic

Dear MSCS Patients,

In this trying time, we want you to know we are committed to your health and wellbeing. At present, our office remains open and is operating during regular business hours. However, for the safety of all, and in keeping with College and Public Health guidelines, we are restricting in-person appointments to medically necessary issues. Please see a list below of applicable problems, and of the necessary precautions we are taking to insure safety.

For elective cosmetic surgical or injectable procedures we are offering the option of virtual consults on Facetime, Whatsapp or OTN. Please speak with our staff at (905) 273-3045 to find out more about this option.

We look forward to welcoming you back to the clinic in the near future. We wish to thank you for your loyalty, and are offering the option to pre-pay services at MSCS by purchasing MCSC Gift Cards at 10% OFF- these will be honored toward any product or procedure for 12 months from the time of purchase.

Examples of Medically Necessary Issues that may Require In-Person Appointments

These include things such as skin cancers, moles that are changing or growing, acute or new skin lesions, follow ups after recent surgery, migraines, hemifacial or blepharospasm or other pain issues like trigeminal neuralgia.

Precautions

In order to maximize safety, all patients are being actively screened over the phone prior to their appointment. On arrival at the clinic, patients will also be asked questions about symptoms such as fever, cough and difficulty breathing as well as recent travel and contacts. Our dedicated team will minimize any delays this screening entails. Scheduling is arranged such that good social distancing practices can be maintained in the waiting areas.

For some time now, we have been carrying out enhanced office sanitization practices above and beyond our standard procedures. High-traffic areas and surfaces are disinfected multiple times per day. Staff have been advised on updated measures to reduce risks to themselves and others.

Please DO NOT come to the office if you have any of the following symptoms:

  • Fever
  • Cough
  • Shortness of breath/difficulty breathing
  • Sore Throat
  • Runny Nose

We are asking anyone with recent travel outside Canada NOT TO ATTEND the clinic for two full weeks after their return.

If you or a close contact have been in contact with anyone that is being monitored for potential or confirmed coronavirus infection, please DO NOT come into the office at this time.

If you have any of the above symptoms, have travelled recently, or have been in contact with a potentially infected person, and have an urgent and medically necessary reason for an appointment, please call us to talk about:

  • Whether or not you need to come to see us
  • Possible rescheduling of your appointment
  • Any concerns you have with delays in your care

In the case of illness or potential infectious contact, please contact your local public health authority to determine appropriate next steps.

Patients who arrive at the office and have any of these risk factors, ie symptoms noted above, travel history, or potential infectious contact, will be asked to reschedule their appointments unless they are attending for a medically urgent matter that cannot be delayed. In that circumstance they will be asked to wear a mask and use hand sanitizer. If you have questions about your care, please talk to us about options.

We kindly ask that you attend your appointment alone, unless necessary for medical purposes. The person accompanying you will go through the same screening process as you, and if they have any symptoms, travel history, or potentially infectious contacts, they will not be allowed to come into the office. If you are unable to safely be in the office on your own, you may be required to reschedule your appointment.

We will waive any cancellation fee associated with rescheduling appointments for the reasons noted above during this time.

Stay healthy and be safe with good hygiene habits:

  • Wash your hands frequently for 20 seconds or more.
  • Do not touch your eyes, nose or mouth.
  • Cough or sneeze into a tissue or your sleeve. Then, throw away the tissue and wash your hands.
  • Avoid close contact with people who are sick.
  • Keep a safe distance of 2m (6 feet) from others.
  • Avoid large group gatherings.

If you have any questions, please call our office.

We’d like to thank you for giving us the opportunity to care for you. We appreciate your patience and understanding as we work to keep you safe during this time. Your health and wellbeing and that of our team remain our top priority and we look forward to continuing to serve you.

Sincerely, Dr. Michael Weinberg and All the Staff at MCSC
