A Better Non-Invasive Fat Removal Procedure
Dr. Weinberg was involved in the early training sessions for LipoSonix in Canada, and his patients participated in studies of the machine. As such he offers:

LipoSonix Procedure
The areas that can be treated with LipoSonix include:
- Abdomen
- Hips and flanks
- Inner and outer thighs
Typically LipoSonix requires only 1 procedure, and takes about 1 hour. This is an advantage over other fat reduction machines that require multiple treatments. Because the ultrasound is focused, higher energies can be used than in other machines, which allows for more fat reduction. During the treatment, patients may experience a sensation of cold, warmth, prickling, or tingling. By adjusting the intensity of the ultrasound settings, discomfort can be managed. Premedicating with oral analgesic medication or injecting local freezing into the area to be treated also can be done to improve comfort. Additionally, no incision is required, and no damage is done to the overlying skin.
Because it is non-invasive, the degree of fat reduction is usually not quite as great as with other body contouring methods such as liposuction or tummy tuck surgery. On average, patients can expect to lose around an inch off their waist, which means one pant or skirt size. LipoSonix Cost & Related Procedures
LipoSonix is a cost-effective alternative to liposuction and it does not require general anesthesia. Cost depends on which and how many body areas are to be treated. It can also be used in combination with other procedures including injectable fillers or BOTOX Cosmetic®, among others.
After Your Procedure
After the procedure, patients may experience some redness, discomfort, and bruising. However, there is very little downtime, and patients can promptly return to work and normal activities. Complete results can be seen in about 8 to 12 weeks after treatment. The results are permanent provided a reasonable diet is maintained.
