Arm and Thigh Lifts in Toronto and Mississauga 

These procedures are usually undertaken after patients have undergone substantial weight loss. Unfortunately, with age our skin loses some elasticity and cannot contract after large amounts of weight are shed, resulting in loose hanging skin in the upper arms and thighs. It is often a great shame that individuals who have worked long and hard to lose weight are left very self-conscious, continuing to wear concealing clothing to cover loose pendulous skin. These procedures take from 2 to 4 hours. Incisions for arm lifts are made from the underarm to the inside of the elbow on the underside of the arm where they will be least visible. For thigh lifts they are made from the hip to the interior thigh along the crease of the groin. Sometimes if there is a great deal of excess tissue an incision extending down the interior of the thigh is necessary. The procedures are often accompanied by liposuction to give optimal smooth results. Patients can return to work in 1 to 3 weeks, and exercise in 4 to 6 weeks, and scars will fade over months.
