Forehead Lift Procedure
At our Mississauga practice, a forehead lift generally takes about 1 to 2 hours to perform. It is almost always performed under general anesthesia in the comfort and privacy of our clinic. Dr. Weinberg has achieved excellent results using the traditional technique, with an incision across the top of the head hidden just behind the hairline.
The procedure can also be performed in appropriate candidates with the use of an endoscope, which requires 3 to 5 shorter incisions. While the endoscopic brow lift uses smaller incisions and requires a shorter healing time, the conventional method has a higher success rate, in Dr. Weinberg's experience, due to greater surgical control and the removal of excess tissue. As with all surgical procedures, there are possible complications that can occur with forehead lift. Potential complications specific to your surgery will be discussed in detail at your consultation. Cost & Related Procedures
Many of our brow lift patients in Toronto and Mississauga elect to combine their procedure with other facial rejuvenation procedures including a facelift, BOTOX® Cosmetic, or injectable fillers. Pricing for a forehead lift will depend upon whether it is performed endoscopically, and whether it is combined with other procedures.
After Your Procedure
Our patients report that they can return to work in about 7 to 10 days, usually sooner for an endoscopic forehead lift. More strenuous activities can be done within several weeks. Our patients are usually fully recovered from the bruising within 2 to 3 weeks. It is advisable to limit sun exposure for the next several months after your procedure. Your brow lift results usually last at least 5 to 10 years. Aging does continue, and therefore new wrinkles and expression lines may eventually form.
